During my internship at the Musée des Beaux-Arts, I contributed to the design of an interactive space aimed at enhancing visitor experience while preserving the existing architecture. This project revolved around a central column, serving as the focal point of the space. Around this column, I helped design four interactive furniture pieces arranged in a star-like pattern, along with the integration of a table and an artwork on a wall section.
Each interactive element offers a unique experience:
Tactile Table: Allows visitors to explore materials through touch.
Technical Analysis Station: Provides interactive tools to examine the technical details of artworks, such as pigments and textures.
These elements, featuring glass bases, offer a 360-degree view of the artworks, revealing often-hidden details. The selected materials (glass, wood, and metal) ensure an aesthetically harmonious design that respects the museum's environment while introducing a contemporary touch. Finally, a carefully designed soft lighting system highlights the artworks, creating an atmosphere conducive to contemplation.
