The cabin project, located on the exposed tip of Île Barbe, is designed as an immersive journey leading to a breathtaking vantage point over the water, emphasized by the cabin’s height, creating the illusion of floating above the river. Conceived as a three-stage experience, the structure guides visitors through a sequence of distinct light effects at each passage, enhancing the contemplative and sensory dimension of the site.
The cabin also adopts a chicane-like form, deliberately concealing the final opening onto the Saône, allowing visitors to gradually discover the view at the end of the path. Its seamless integration into the landscape and the simplicity of its structure highlight the natural surroundings while guiding visitors toward a deeper connection with the site and its panorama.
